About My Clients

If you’re looking for addiction recovery support, help with an addiction, support with an addicted family member, or anything addiction related, I can help. I am also experienced in trauma work, support with pregnancy mental health postpartum mental health. I enjoy supporting parents including brand new parents adjusting to parenthood. I am affirming of all sexualities and gender identities.

My Background and Approach

For 14 years, I have practiced in inpatient and outpatient settings working with people struggling with addictions, trauma, and the transition to parenthood. Do you ever wonder if your habits might be addictions? Or are you in recovery and needing mental health support? I would love to support you and teach you concrete skills to improve your stress tolerance, your relationships, self esteem, and coping behaviors to reduce your risk of relapse. Are you struggling with Antepartum or postpartum depression or anxiety? Struggling as a parent and needing support? I am Brazelton Touchpoints trained and I can help. I use a cognitive behavioral therapeutic approach and I also use Polyvagal theory in my practice to help you teach your nervous system new ways of responding. We can “re-wire” your brain to feel calmer, happier, and more optimistic about the future. I will put you in the driver’s seat of your care, working alongside you to meet your goals. I believe you are the expert on YOU.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am an ally to clients, friends and family in the LGBTQ+ community. I believe in treating people with respect and dignity. I am a Black Lives Matter supporter and I am actively anti-racist. I am sex-positive, sex-work positive, and nonjudgmental. I welcome you—every part of you—to join with me in finding concrete skills and interventions to help you live your happiest life. I am a PNW lifer, a parent of two boys, an avid reader, art lover, film buff, and a nerd for neuropsychology. I believe that humans are living and working in settings that we were not built for and have not evolved fast enough to cope with. We were not meant to live isolated, sedentary, screen-filled lives (though I do love my screens). Through the use of cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapies as well as Polyvagal exercises, we can “hack” our brains to cope with today’s world. When you are ready, my door is open.
