About My Clients
While I am open to new things, my main focus is typically on anxiety, emotional regulation, coping with every day life and life changes. When you come into my space, it is relaxing - no overhead lighting and some oils going in the diffuser to create a calm and safe space. If we're online, we create that safe space virtually and I will encourage you to find that within your own space.
My Background and Approach
Beneath my therapist self, I am a Licensed Social Worker. This gives me a wide variety of approaches to pull from. I am very eclectic when it comes to my therapy approach. Strengths based is one thing that you will always see with me, we're going to use where you are thriving to help where you may be struggling. Therapy is not a one sides thing, it's very interchangeable depending on the person and the goals that they have. I like to pull a little from different therapy approaches and put them all together to help my clients create the best outcome for themselves. You're in the drivers seat, I'm just helping navigate.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Social Worker I believe in the human first approach. When it comes to my clients, I am focused on making sure their needs are met and they have the resources they may need. Regardless of indifferences in values, politics, etc. - I am focused on making my space safe and inviting for everyone who walks in. I am an ally to the LGBTQ+ community. I love to volunteer wherever I can in my community and serve the communities that are underserved.
