Being human is messy and the relationships we have with ourselves and others can often feel even messier. However, you, through your lived experiences, have a significant amount of important data about what is working for you versus what is not. Together we can use that data and determine what variables have been supportive as well as what elements may need a revised approach.
As a Couple and Family Therapist I am specifically trained to work relationally, it's where I am most passionate! I have experience and enjoy working with relationships of all kinds, particularly intimate relationships. Are you an individual looking for a therapist? Do you struggle to trust yourself, or validate your own needs and feelings? Did you grow up with an unavailable, unpredictable, or critical parent? Are you quick to take responsibility and blame yourself for relational struggles? Longing to address these issues, process a painful loss, or find freedom from limiting beliefs, my clients are seeking clarity, healing, and empowerment. Often, we're navigating relationships, dating, family conflict, career choices, and their desires for the future.
I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, identity exploration, relationship issues, career development, and life transitions. I give you permission to redirect your focus inward and to get curious about who you are, what moves you, and what feels right for you. Your journey can shift as you go, and sometimes it can be difficult to grant yourself the space, flexibility, and caring attention you need to connect with your honest needs, values, hopes, and motivations.

For my clients, some aspect of who they are does not align with the expectations of them, bringing up anxiety, depression, and other stressors. Clients bring in issues related to masculinity, communication, relationships, identity, self-esteem, and polyamory. They may also feel limited or overwhelmed by larger issues outside of their control, such as the environment, capitalism, or other oppressive structures. They want to live more confidently but don't know how to do it on their own.
My clients have often been marginalized or exiled from the human community because of their traumatic experiences, be that from childhood trauma, interpersonal violence, or oppressive systems, institutions, or relationships. Many of my clients have learned to survive and adapt to their traumatic environments through self-injury, substance use, disordered eating and toxic relational patterns. They are looking for someone to see them and understand them, not as broken, but as hurting.
I work with clients from college age and onward that are dealing with issues of sexuality and gender identity. I also work with clients dealing with religious trauma and/or investigating their own relationship with spirituality of all flavors. My style involves looking through the past to see how the narratives we tell ourselves affect our current lives.
Imagine a version of yourself brimming with happiness and confidence. Envision being in a harmonious, loving relationship. What if you could find a way to let go of the past, allowing yourself to experience freedom and joy in the present while crafting a fulfilling future? Let me guide you in uncovering how to connect with your authentic self and empower you to become the person you've always aspired to be, regardless of your past experiences and circumstances.
