About My Clients
I specialize in anxiety, depression, substance use, self-esteem issues, and problematic attachment patterns. Through our work together my clients are able to heal old wounds, and introduce new ways of feeling and thinking about themselves. Clients typically leave their first session feeling emotionally lighter and a bit more hopeful about the future. Remember - therapy can be tough, but your growth and change is worth the effort.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic style takes a depth and humanistic approach. This means that we will explore recurring themes, patterns of relationships, your unconscious motivators, feelings that have been repressed, and influences hidden just outside of your awareness. Together we will work to understand and define the root of the problems in your life. We will establish goals for our work together that attune to your unique needs, keeping in mind how you want to change and grow as a person. It may be difficult at times, but over time you will begin to feel better and better.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The idea of talking about yourself with a stranger is intimidating to say the least (I get it, I've been there). The time I invested in my own therapy was essential to my improved sense of self, so I am very much aware of what it takes to seek support. Helping people heal and grow is what I am truly passionate about. I'm here to help you navigate the problematic areas of your life, get back in touch with who you are, and rekindle the vibrancy you feel has been dimmed.
